Rangers signing spree may not be over despite duo reportedly arriving imminently - view

Rangers could be on the verge of pulling off a double signing, but that doesn’t signal that their signing spree will be over for the summer.

The Daily Mail reports that Steven Gerrard’s side are close to pulling off a double loan swoop which would see striker Umar Sadiq and midfielder Lassana Coulibaly arrive at the club.

If the duo sign it will take the total of new arrivals at Ibrox to nine under Gerrard and Mark Allen, but that doesn’t mean that the signings will be over.

The Gers possibly still need another striker, to support Sadiq and Alfredo Morelos, as two strikers won’t be enough to last an entire season.

Of course, you might think, Josh Windass reached double figures last season, he could be a valuable player to the side.

That would be true of course, but there are big doubts surrounding the attacker and his future at Ibrox, as a dispute over a possible release clause in his contract rages on.

The Rangers side which kicks off this season is set to look completely different from the one which started last season.

Gerrard seems to have been far more sensible in his signings than either Mark Warburton or Pedro Caixinha, as the Gers seems to have avoided giving players huge contracts for the most part this summer.

Now fans will watch and wait to see if Gerrard and Allen make any more additions as the Europa League looms.
