'An ongoing matter' - Kenny Miller reveals dispute with Rangers is not over

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller has revealed that his dispute with the club over his suspension and fine last season is not yet over.

The 38-year-old, who was recently appointed as Livingston’s player/manager, was fined and given a suspension along with Lee Wallace by the Gers following a bust-up with then manager Graeme Murty after the Scottish Cup semi-final loss to Celtic.

Even though his contract ran out at the end of last season, Miller has disclosed that he has not yet finished his appeal against the action taken against him.

“It’s an ongoing matter so I can’t delve into what’s happening, but I’ll be taking it to a conclusion and it will come to one soon enough” Miller said, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“I’ve had to sit tight-lipped for a season about certain things but I’ll have my time.”

Miller won plenty of trophies in his three spells at Ibrox, but his time at the club has been tarnished following the bust-up with Murty.

Miller’s appeal is a reminder of a time when the Gers seemed to be in a constant state of chaos towards the end of Graeme Murty’s time with the club, and that seems to be firmly in the past following the appointment of Gerrard. As for Miller, he believes that his reputation has been tarnished after the incident with Murty, and it will be intriguing to see what happens next. The bottom line is that eventually both parties will need to move on after the situation, and the sooner the better. Miller has his new job at Livingston to get on with, and the Gers have the Gerrard revolution to maintain, and the sooner that both parties can concentrate on the future the better it will be for all involved in the situation.
