Tottenham join battle to sign in-demand Celtic 21y/o - report
Tottenham are reportedly one of a number of clubs interested in signing Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo claims that the London side are just one of many clubs believed to be interested in the Scotland international, with the Sunday Mail reporting that the Bhoys are set to turn down a £25million bid for Everton for the 21-year-old.
Whilst there have been no bids as yet for Tierney, it does look likely that Everton will be first to test the Hoops resolve with a huge move for the Hoops regular, who has won plenty of admirers in his three trophy-laden seasons with the Bhoys.
Football Insider verdict
The number of clubs interested in Kieran Tierney is likely to grow and grow in the next few weeks, as the speculation continues about his future. The ball looks set to get rolling as soon as Everton submit their offer for the 21-year-old, which the Hoops seem to have no intention of accepting, for now. This of course may change if the Everton offer prompts the other clubs so register their own bids, and start a bidding war. That might be the only course of action that would be deemed acceptable by Hoops fans if the decision was made to sell the left-back. Naturally fans would be very upset, but if the Hoops ended up getting around £40million for the player, it would soften the blow just a bit. As yet though, it is all just speculation until Everton, or another side, decide to make an offer for the player, only then will we find out where Tierney’s future lies.
