With Steven Gerrard bringing his own men to Rangers, it seems inevitable that some players will be moving on in the summer.

The Daily Express reports that one of the players expected to leave is Harry Forrester, who has rarely featured for the Gers in the last 18 months.

The 27-year-old’s days at Ibrox have been numbered since he was told to find a new club by then Gers boss Pedro Caixinha in January 2017.

He spent last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon and was a regular for them, making 43 appearances, and he could well end up signing for another side in League One.

The player was a semi-regular for the Gers under Mark Warburton, the manager who signed him, but Caixinha’s decision to move him on seems to have called time on his Ibrox career.

The Gers support will no doubt be relatively pleased to get another player off their wage bill, as Forrester didn’t show enough in his appearances for the Ibrox side to show that he was going to be a mainstay of the side.

Like so many of the signings made by Warburton and Caixinha, it looks like Forrester will be the latest to leave Ibrox without any fanfare and he his time at Ibrox will soon be a distant memory.

The Gers fans will be desperately hoping that they aren’t in a similar situation with Gerrard’s signings in a year’s time.
