'He'd be our main man' - Some Newcastle fans urge club to sign 25y/o after reported development

A section of Newcastle United supporters took to social media to encourage their side to sign Danny Ings from Liverpool this summer.

The 25-year-old forward is set to depart Anfield in search of first-team football, as reported by the BBC,  after reaching an agreement with Jurgen Klopp in order to allow him to leave the club.

The broadcaster’s report claims that the German manager wanted to keep Ings at the Reds but won’t demand a transfer fee that would stop his exit occurring as the forward wants to regular feature for a side.

One supporter tweeted to urge the Magpies to bring the 25-year-old to St James Park after the reported development regarding Ings’ future as the forward would become the club’s main man in their opinion.

Ings would be a fantastic signing for the Magpies and he would clearly become their first-choice forward at the club. If the 25-year-old was able to put the injury problems that wrecked his Anfield career successfully behind him there would be no stopping him from becoming a Magpies hero. Rafa Benitez would also clearly hand Ings the regular first-team football he desires as the club’s current attacking options are lacking to say the least. The Magpies are thought to have been keen on signing Ings from the Reds in the past, as reported by The Telegraph, but the forward always opted to stay at Anfield in order to fight for his place. However clearly his situation has changed and supporters are right to urge the Magpies to act.
