West Ham must endeavour with their pursuit of Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson after the player reportedly handed in a transfer request.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is thought to have informed Lazio president Claudio Lotito that he wants to leave the Italian giants, according to Tuttomercatoweb, and this should significantly help the Hammers get his signature.
The Premier League side were previously thought to be growing frustrated, according to club insider ExWHUemployee on Twitter, that their pursuit of Anderson had escalated into being a transfer saga as Lazio were playing hard ball when it came to negotiating a price for their player.
Nothing has changed we have made our offer, they don’t appear to want to accept it. We are losing patience and likely to move elsewhere if they don’t budge soon. It’s never been a done deal as most others have reported https://t.co/KFKnpgLDgp

The Hammers are thought to be willing to pay a tremendous amount to get Anderson’s services as Sky Sports previously claimed that the London club had offered £35million in order to get him.
According to Sky Sport’s report Lotito was asking for £44million but would likely accept the £35million proposal being tabled by the Hammers, however it seems that the Lazio president wasn’t keen on the Hammers’ recent offer after all based on the insider’s update.

Though Lotito may quickly have a change of heart especially if Anderson is starting to be forceful when it comes to securing his exit from the club.
The 25-year-old is a sensational right-sided midfielder who will be a fantastic at the London Stadium if signed but there will be no club willing to pay £44million for his services in this window.
This should see the Hammers’ offer be the best one that Lazio will receive for the player anytime soon.
The Italian giants will not want to hold on to Anderson if he is starting to express his desire to leave as an unhappy player will never perform to his best and could be a potentially toxic presence on the rest of the squad.
This means that the Hammers need to stay in the race for Anderson and keep their £35million offer on the table as after this update on the player’s transfer request, as Lazio will soon jump at the chance to accept the Premier League side’s bid.
Therefore even though the London club are no doubt frustrated, they will get Anderson’s services if they just hold out a little longer.
