'Atsu it is then', 'Let's just move on' - Some Newcastle fans react to reported Kenedy price tag
Some Newcastle United fans on social media debated whether the club should splash the cash on signing Kenedy from Chelsea after a report claimed that the Blues wanted £30million for him.
The Chronicle reported that the Magpies had been quoted a £30million fee by Chelsea if Rafa Benitez’s side wanted to sign the Brazlian winger on a permanent basis.
With Kenedy potentially set to cost the club £30million if they opted to sign him, a section of Magpies supporters opted to debate whether he was worth that sort of money.
One fan tweeted to urge everyone to move on from the idea of signing the winger while another stated that he was worth every penny in their opinion.
Football Insider has rounded up several tweets by Magpies supporters about Kenedy’s reported £30million price tag:

£30million is an insane amount to spend but no one should really be surprised as the transfer market is riddled with inflated price tags. Kenedy was superb during his loan spell at St James Park last season and Chelsea clearly know that the Magpies would be interested in his services for that reason. The 22-year-old dazzled everyone in his 13 appearances for the club and it’s easy to see why some fans would be happy to see £30million spent on him. The only thing Magpies supporters can agree on regarding Kenedy’s price tag is that Mike Ashley is unlikely to sign him due to the player costing £30million. If the 22-year-old is to return to St James Park next season it will have to be on loan or while wearing the colours of another team as it’s hard to imagine £30million being spent on one player by the Magpies this summer.
In other Newcastle United news, the club are reportedly in no rush to hurry through 22-year-old’s exit.
