Murphy: Tottenham can beat Juventus on one condition, states what is key about CL tie
Danny Murphy believes Tottenham have a good chance against Juventus if they manage to keep their stars fit.
Talking on Jim White’s talkSPORT show, the pundit was optimistic about Spurs’ chances in the last 16 tie, but added they would have to have their key players available.
The pundit complimented both sides for their organisation, balance, work ethic and admitted both sides have lots of quality.
“For Tottenham it is going to be about keeping their best players fit,” said Murphy.
“Because what we’ve seen with Tottenham this season is when they don’t have their best players on show, they’re not as formidable.”
Murphy directly named Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane, Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama as the players Spurs needed fit, saying these four players were the core of the Tottenham team.

Wanyama has been a long-term injury concern for Tottenham and hasn’t played since August due to a knee injury, but he is expected back soon.
Spurs travel to face Juventus in the first leg on February 13 before hosting Juventus at Wembley on March 7.
The pundit revealed that playing away first was key, and benefited Tottenham.
The two sides have not met before in a competitive game, with their only match being a friendly which took place in August 2017.
Spurs won that game 2-0 with Kane and Christian Eriksen grabbing the goals.
Tottenham have already had several memorable nights in the Champions League this season after winning their group thanks to victories against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
