'He's really surprised me' - Alan Hutton in awe of Leeds player transformation this season
EXCLUSIVE
Alan Hutton has been bowled over by the transformation of Stuart Dallas this season into a successful a full-back for Leeds United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider editor Wayne Veysey, the ex-Aston Villa full-back and former opponent of the Northern Ireland international has been blown away by his performances.
Dallas, 28, has started all six of Leeds’ league matches this season at right-back in the absence of the injured Luke Ayling, who has missed the entire campaign with an ankle injury.
Hutton has played extensively against Dallas and is among those observers who have been impressed at his success in the new role after spending most of his career as a winger.
“He’s really surprised me, actually,” Hutton told Football Insider. “Sometimes as a winger you can take to the full-back role because nowadays a lot of it’s attacking and going forward but there’s somebody like that, he works so hard and obviously the manager’s put that into his mind that you must work.

“He gets back and I’ve played against him a few times, it’s difficult. He really attacks you well and like I say he’ll track my runs going forward. He’s a difficult player to play against.”
Dallas is one of the longest-serving players at Leeds after joining from Brentford in the summer of 2015, and signed a new four-year deal this week.
He has made 152 appearances for United, scoring 15 goals and supplying 12 assists.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that the club are set to lose loan star in the January window after developments.
