Hugo Lloris told 'live with it' after Tottenham source's termination reveal - expert
Tottenham could terminate Hugo Lloris’ contract a year early.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton said Lloris is in a “strange” situation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after being such a long-serving member of the club.
Earlier this month (2 September), Football Insider revealed that the London club could terminate the 36-year-old’s contract after he failed to secure a deadline day move.
The shot stopper was offered a late move to Premier League side Newcastle United and was approached by Nice after they agreed to end Kasper Schmeichel’s deal but could not agree terms and remained in north London.
The Frenchman has not featured for the side since April after picking up a knee injury towards the end of last season.
Ange Postecoglou has since brought in Guglielmo Vicario as his first choice goalkeeper.

When asked if Spurs will be willing to terminate Lloris‘ contract, Hutton told Football Insider:
“I am not sure what they will do,” he told Football Insider.
“Would you want to just cut him loose and pay up the rest of his contract? We will have to see. He has been a great servant for the football club, was the captain for a long period of time.
“It is a strange situation that he came back and decided he did not see his future there. We do not really know what is going on in the background so it is difficult to judge.
“It can be difficult for a footballer but it is something that you just have to live with.“
