Hutton slams three Rangers new signings
There are still “questions marks” over the suitability of the new signings at Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton insisted all of the new attacking arrivals have “room for improvement”.
Michael Beale brought in nine new players this summer, four of which are attack-minded additions.
Between them, Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima have scored eight goals so far this season.
Rabbi Matondo and Kemar Roofe, who have recently returned to the fold, have both found the back of the net once and Beale opted for Matondo and Roofe to start the crucial derby fixture against Celtic (3 September).
Dessers was also in the starting lineup for the game with Lammers, Danilo and Sima all named on the bench.

Roofe and Matondo both found the back of the net during the game against Celtic but the pair had their goals ruled out.
Hutton has not been massively impressed by the new attacking arrivals.
“Obviously the jury is still out,” he told Football Insider.
“Matondo has been brought back in, and deservedly so, Roofe when fit has been playing in the bigger games so there is still question marks over Sima, Lammers and Dessers to a certain extent.
“I think Dessers has done ok, the signs of a player are definitely there but there is room for improvement in in him and the other signings as well.“
The Gers travel to St Johnstone on Saturday (16 September) for their next Scottish Premiership fixture before welcoming Real Betis to Ibrox in their Europa League opener.
