Daniel Levy will 'never' let Richarlison leave Tottenham after deal collapsed - expert
Daniel Levy would never have allowed Richarlison to leave Tottenham this summer even if there was a big money offer from Saudi Arabia.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton suggested Richarlison could be tempted by a move to the Saudi Pro League in January.
According to The Telegraph (9 September), Saudi side Al Ittihad eyed up a move for the Brazilian after they saw a £150million bid for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah rejected.
Despite talks taking place through intermediaries, the deal ran out of time and was unable to be completed before last week’s deadline.
The Lilywhites have already lost star striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich this summer and Hutton insisted chairman Daniel Levy couldn’t afford to let another forward leave, regardless of the offer.
“I do not think anybody is out with what they are looking for,” he told Football Insider.

“If you are playing in the Premier League at a high standard it could be anyone and they obviously want to make their league better.
“I would never have thought Daniel Levy would allow him to leave, even if it was a decent amount of money. You think of Kane going and then Richarlison is really their main striker at the moment.
“To let him go and not be able to bring anyone in would leave them in a really tough spot so I would never see it happening.
“If Richarlison goes on from now until January and scores goals and plays at a high standard then it might happen.
“I think they will be looking at everybody in the Premier League and looking at who they can bring in to make their team stronger.“
In other news, Tottenham pulled plug on deal for ‘£100m next Alan Shearer’ – because he’s ‘not physical enough’.
