Celtic have suffered a major injustice after Feyenoord were awarded a penalty in their Champions League opener on Tuesday (19 September).

As shown on TNT Sports (19 September), Lagerbielke was shown a second yellow card after his outstretched arm took down Stengs in the Hoops’ penalty area.
The decision was checked by VAR but remained in favour of the onfield official and although Joe Hart saved the spot kick, the Celts went on to lose the game 2-0.
Hutton suggested Celtic were unlucky to have the decision go against them.

“When I was playing in it I remember that any slight foul was always penalised, thing you got away with when you were playing in Scotland or England.
“He needs to shepherd the ball out better, I think he needs to get in a better position where he does not give the opportunity for that to happen.
“He does put an arm out to protect himself to try and usher it out but it has kind of hit Stengs in the neck. The way he went down made it look worse than it was but it is something that Lagerbielke has to get better at.
“He is going to have to brush up to play at this level but ultimately it was a harsh decision.“
