Expert amazed by 'brilliant' Postecoglou after what he's just seen Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur’s late win over Sheffield United was all down to Ange Postecoglou and the mentality he has instilled in the players.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs and Rangers defender Alan Hutton is delighted to see the players buying into and believing in Postecoglou’s methods and can see big improvements to the squad as a result.
As shown on Sky Sports (17 September), injury time goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski helped seal a vital three points for the Lilywhites after going a goal down to United with 20 minutes left of the 90.
The equaliser came in the 98th minute while Kulusevski’s found the back of the net in the 102nd minute to secure the victory and maintain the side’s unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Spurs have now won four out of their five league games so far following their opening day draw with Brentford last month.
When asked if the change in mentality that helped Tottenham secure a late win is all down to Postecoglou, Hutton told Football Insider: “Absolutely.

“It is now becoming an Ange team. We saw it with Celtic that they never gave up, they showed great character and spirit. Even his subs were good.
“Sometimes you can pick a squad and the subs can be sulking or take a huff but everybody was working really well. They are all obviously pulling in the same direction and playing some brilliant football.
“I know the Sheffield United goal was against the run of play but they held on and it was so late when Tottenham scored but that is what Ange teams do.
“They wear you down and get at you for the whole time, they believe in what they are doing and it is really working.“
