Rangers suffer 'massive' blow as Danilo footage emerges - expert
Losing Danilo to injury is a “massive blow” for Rangers ahead of crucial domestic and European fixtures.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton is disappointed Danilo will be facing a spell on the sidelines after his injury against St Johnstone at the weekend.
As shown on Sky Sports (17 September), the striker had to be subbed off after scoring the opener at McDiarmid Park following a nasty collision with Saints captain Liam Gordon. who was also replaced.
Danilo headed home from James Tavernier’s corner but couldn’t celebrate after clashing heads with Gordon in the box.
The Brazilian has since undergone surgery for a compound fracture and is recovering at home but will likely be on the sidelines for a few weeks.
Hutton is disappointed to see Danilo facing a period out of the team after just making his way back in to the starting lineup.

“It is a massive blow,” he told Football Insider.
“I really do feel sorry for him because he has had to bide his time. He has been on the bench a lot and has come on and looked good in flashes.
“We know there is a player and this could have sparked him on. It was a really well worked goal, a great delivery and Danilo was really brave to put his head in.
“It looked really bad, as soon as you got up you could see the swelling so you could tell straight away that it was a fracture of some sort.
“I really hoped that game would kick him on but he still seems positive so hopefully he can get back quickly.“
