Tottenham expert 'feels sorry' for Romero as controversial footage emerges
Ange Postecoglou has been a “breath of fresh air” since he arrived at Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Spurs defender Alan Hutton suggested Tottenham teams of the past would likely have lost the game against Arsenal after going a goal down.
Despite going a goal down early on, Postecoglou’s side held their London rivals to a 2-2 draw in the first derby of the season.
Spurs are fourth in the table with 14 points from their opening six games, having won four and drawn two.
Postecoglou’s side sit ahead of Arsenal with a marginally better goal difference in the opening stages of the season.
When asked what he made of the performance and the manner of the win, Hutton told Football Insider: “I thought it was a brilliant game, really good to watch.

“It was end to end, both teams going for it.
“Ange has just been a breath of fresh air since he arrived. That is probably the kind of game in previous years that Tottenham would go and lose.
“They showed a good fighting spirit to get back into it. I felt sorry for Romero, I felt the handball was harsh and the deflected goal was harsh. Overall I think it was a really good game of football.“
Postecoglou joined Spurs this summer after leaving Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
The Australian joined the Parkhead club in 2021 and won back to back league and league cup titles as well as completing the domestic treble in what was his final season at the club.
