Rangers expert worried by growing injury list after confirmed Rabbi Matondo news
The injury list at Rangers is getting worringly long ahead of important games
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton insisted that the majority of players on the sidelines would be guaranteed starters.
Rabbi Matondo was the latest to join the injury list after being subbed off in Sunday’s game against Motherwell.
Matondo provided the assist for Cyriel Dessers’ opener that proved to be the matchwinner but was subbed off before half time.
As relayed by STV (26 September), the winger is likely to be sidelined for six weeks after picking up a knee injury at the weekend.
Kieran Dowell, Todd Cantwell, Tom Lawrence, Nicolas Raskin and Danilo are all sidelined with various injuries ahead of next week’s Europa League game against Aris Limassol.

When asked how disappointed Matondo will be to face another spell on the sidelines.
“He has had to wait a long time for his opportunity,” he told Football Insider.
“It is now here and he is producing and doing well, he is making a difference.
“For him to pick up this injury, Lawrence is already out, as well as Cantwell, Raskin, these are all players that would start so it is a difficult situation. You have to feel sorry for Matondo because he has been patient.“
Matondo has started four games for Michael Beale’s side this season after limited minutes in the opening matches of the season.
The 23-year-old has scored two goals and offered up two assists.
