Sources: Rangers plot raid to sign Jack Butland with Man United star 'keen' on move
Rangers are plotting to sign on-loan Man United goalkeeper Jack Butland this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The England international, 29, has been on the radar at Ibrox for some time and is believed to be a preferred target of sporting director Ross Wilson.
Butland’s loan deal at United is set to expire at the end of this season.
Sources with knowledge of the shot-stopper’s situation have revealed that he would be “keen” to play for Rangers next season.
It is understood that his parent club, Crystal Palace, will make no attempt to renew Butland’s contract when it expires in June.
The Birmingham youth product has racked up 87 Premier League appearances during spells at Stoke City and Palace – but is yet to turn out for United this season.
