Medical passed: Man United agree new signing after offer accepted - sources
Man United have agreed to sign Cardiff City forward Gabriele Biancheri and he has already passed a medical, sources have told Football Insider.
The rising star, 16, announced his departure from the Championship club on Friday with an official statement.
It is believed he has accepted United’s offer of an initial scholarship deal that will be converted into a three-year professional contract when he turns 17 in September.
There has been interest in Biancheri from rival Premier League clubs, with Chelsea believed to have tried to lure him last summer.
The teenager has progressed through the ranks in south Wales and is a Wales Under-17 international.
He has scored 17 goals and five assists in all age-group football this season, but has yet to have a taste of senior action.

At United, he will go straight into the Academy set-up and look to make his mark in one of the most feted youth set-ups in the country.
The deal is regarded as a major coup for the Premier League giants, who have lost out to Chelsea and neighbours Man City for many top-tier talents in recent years.
Biancheri confirmed his departure from the Cardiff City Stadium and paid tribute to those who have helped him come through the ranks.
It read: “After more than 9 years my time with Cardiff has come to an end. I’d like to thank all of my coaches for helping me become the player and person I am today and to all my teammates.
“I’ll forever be thankful for the opportunity I’ve had at this club.”
