Sources: Spanish club make move to sign Rangers star Alfredo Morelos as approach made
Spanish, Italian and Turkish clubs have registered interest in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos ahead of the summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The striker, 26, has been locked in a contract stand-off with the Ibrox giants and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
It is believed that Morelos has genuine interest from top-flights clubs in Spain and Italy as well as Turkey, where he could have headed earlier this month.
But the Colombia international opted not to join a Turkish club, as first revealed by Football Insider, as he looked to see which clubs would be interested when he will be a free agent.
Morelos is expected to be deluged with offers as the season ends, especially if he maintain his resurgence in form under Michael Beale.
Rangers do not want to lose such a prize asset on a free transfer and have not given up hope of securing him to a new contract.

In turn, Morelos has privately not ruled out the possibility of signing what would be a surprise new deal with the club.
At this stage, a transfer is considered more likely than not for the forward, who has scored nine goals from 32 appearances this season as well as weighed in with five assists.
Morelos has notched nine goals and five assists across 31 appearances this season.
He has been a more regular starter since Beale took over and that has coincided with improved performances for a player with 121 goals and 56 assists for the club.
