Sources: Tottenham in hunt to sign Real Madrid star Marco Asensio
Tottenham are tracking Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio ahead of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Asensio is out of contract in the summer and will be available for free if he doesn’t sign a new deal with Madrid.
The 27-year-old has made 17 La Liga appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season and has scored four goals and provided three assists in those outings.
The winger joined Madrid in 2016 and has made 264 appearances for the club across all competitions, netting 55 goals and providing 29 assists in that time.
The Spain international has won three Champions League titles with Los Blancos and will be looking to add another this season.
Spurs are believed to be keeping tabs on the attacker who will be out of contract in June.

As quoted by the Mirror (16 February), Ancelotti said he “doesn’t care” if Asensio signs a new deal with the club as long as he plays his part for the remainder of the current season.
Sources have told Football Insider that Premier League sides Man United and Arsenal are also tracking Asensio and are set to fight it out with Tottenham for his signature at the end of the season.
The Lilywhites are heavily stacked in forward areas and just signed Arnaut Danjuma in the winter window.
But, Lucas Moura is out of contract in the summer and is yet to sign an extension meaning he could quit in June and open the door for the arrival of Asensio.
