Revealed: West Ham respond today to David Moyes sack speculation
West Ham insisted on Wednesday afternoon they are sticking with under-fire David Moyes, sources have told Football Insider.
The Hammers boss has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks as he fails to turn around a poor run of form which sees his side 18th in the Premier League after 23 games.
Reports earlier this week suggested that the 59-year-old’s job is under new threat and he could be sacked if they lose at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (25 February).
Earlier today (22 February), Football Insider revealed that the Irons have reached out to Rafael Benitez and he is a leading contender to replace Moyes if he is dismissed.
But, the word coming out of West Ham on Wednesday afternoon is that the board are sticking with the under-fire manager.
Despite sitting in the relegation zone, only eight points separate them and 11th place Aston Villa and a win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend would put them just two points behind their opponents.

Moyes took charge of West Ham back in November 2017 where he successfully guided the Hammers out of the relegation zone to finish the season in 13th.
The 2020-21 season was a huge success for the Scotsman where his side finished sixth in the Premier League and secured a spot in the Europa League group stage.
Moyes had similar success last season, guiding the club to the semi-finals of the European competition where they lost to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
