Sources: Chelsea board now turn attention to Zinedine Zidane move
Chelsea board members are “keen” on Zinedine Zidane as a replacement for Graham Potter, sources have told Football Insider.
The Blues view Potter as a long-term appointment but there is growing pressure on the boss as he fails to get results expected of the club.
Sources have told Football Insider that the Chelsea hierarchy view Zidane’s profile and status, as well as his success with Real Madrid, as a perfect fit for the young players at Stamford Bridge.
They are “keen” on the Frenchman, 50, who has won three Champions League titles as a manager, but no approach has been made at this stage.
There has been a report that former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino rejected an approach from Chelsea.
Football Insider has been told that the club have not made a move for the Argentinian.

Potter is under increasing pressure from fans as the London club suffered their worst run since 1995 despite a squad investment of nearly £600million since Todd Boehly’s consortium took over.
The Blues are currently tenth in the Premier League and have won just one of their last ten games across all competitions, including the latest 1-0 defeat to bottom of the table Southampton on Saturday (18 February).
Back in June, former Real Madrid boss Zidane spoke of his desire to return to management after leaving the Spanish giants for the second time in 2021.
The Frenchman led Madrid to three successive Champions League titles during his first spell with the club, as well as guiding them to two La Liga titles.
His impressive playing and managerial career are seen as perfect for the young players at Chelsea but Potter is still seen as a long-term appointment.
