David Raya: Tottenham agree personal terms as deal edges close - sources
Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs are working on a deal for Raya, 27, after identifying him as their number one target to replace Hugo Lloris, who is set to leave this summer after 11 years at the club.
The Lilywhites have already made progress on the transfer with contract terms already agreed with Raya.
But Spurs and Brentford remain apart in their valuation of the shot-stopper.
Brentford are holding out for £40million, while the north Londoners are hoping to agree a deal around the £30m mark.
Raya, whose contract expires in June 2024, has been closely watched by Spurs’ recruitment team all season.

The Spain international’s relatively low wage by Premier League standards will make it difficult for Brentford to keep hold of him.
Football Insider revealed last month (27 May) that Tottenham are ready to offer Raya a triple-your-money deal worth nearly £100,000-a-week.
Spurs are keen to add a new first-choice goalkeeper in the off-season after Lloris’ struggles in the 2022-23 campaign.
The World Cup winner struggled for form, making several high-profile mistakes – and also battled injury problems following the mid-season winter break.
Backup ace Fraser Forster, who is out of contract in June 2024, came into the side to replace Lloris – conceding 28 goals in 20 outings.
Meanwhile, Raya made 39 appearances across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign – conceding 47 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets.
The Barcelona-born star is capped twice for Spain and has racked up 62 total appearances in the Premier League.
