Sources: Arsenal in talks to sign four stars - and could spend £300m in stunning spree

Arsenal are in talks over four major signings and are set to experience a very busy window in a bid to challenge for the Premier League title next season, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners are in talks with Declan Rice, Romeo Lavia, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber – and they could spend £300million in total this summer in what would be a stunning spree.

Mikel Arteta has received financial backing from the Arsenal hierarchy this summer, who all passionately believe he is the right man to take the North London side back to title success.

Arteta and his team are hoping to go one step further in 2023/24 by adding quality throughout the side over the next few months.

Talks are ongoing with West Ham over the signing of Rice and Arsenal are growing in confidence as they understand that Rice is keen on the move and has agreed personal terms.

Discussions are now progressing over a £50million move for Southampton midfielder Lavia, with personal terms close to agreement.

Ajax defender Timber is also a target for the London side, who are keen to add to their defensive options for the upcoming campaign.

Chelsea are set to finalise a deal worth nearly £60million for midfielder Kai Havertz, who has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and expects to move.

Sources have informed Football Insider that Arsenal’s early window activity is potentially just the beginning of a much larger project that could see the Gunners spend nearly £300million this summer should they land all their targets.

Club director Josh Kroenke is personally pushing for deals to be completed and has readied the club for one of their busiest windows in recent history.
