Revealed: Chelsea in brutal 11 senior-player Clearout - five deals all but done, six more close
Chelsea are continuing their brutal senior clearout at Stamford Bridge with 11 players now closing in on exits, sources have told Football Insider.
The Blues need to sell players in order to continue their lavish transfer spending under owner Todd Boehly amid Financial Fair Play concerns.
Chelsea spent a reported outlay of more than £530million on new signings in the 2022-23 campaign and now have a bloated squad as a result.
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (21 June) that Kai Havertz is set to become the first exit following the transfer window’s opening last week.
Havertz has said his goodbyes to his Chelsea teammates and is set to move to Arsenal in a deal worth £65million.
Meanwhile, Hakim Ziyech, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy are all expected to leave the Blues for Saudi Pro League clubs.

Koulibaly, 32, only joined Chelsea for a reported fee of £33million last summer (2022) but endured a challenging first season in the Premier League.
Kante, also 32, is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of this month and is now set to send a trophy-laden affiliation with the Londoners.
Talks are also ongoing over possible exits for Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek, Romelu Lukaku, Trevoh Chalobah and Christian Pulisic.
Football Insider revealed earlier this month (4 June) that Mount has told Chelsea he wants to move to Man United after agreeing personal terms – but the Red Devils are yet to make an acceptable offer.
Sources have also told Football Insider (5 June) that Inter Milan have made a move to sign Chalobah, 23, this summer.
It is believed such an exodus of players will allow Chelsea to move forward with deals for their top transfer targets, including Brighton star Moises Caicedo.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (20 June) that the Blues are talking to several other midfield targets, including Southampton star Romeo Lavia and Celta Vigo ace Gabri Veiga.
