Terms agreed: Liverpool set to sign Dominik Szoboszlai today after breakthrough in talks - sources
Liverpool are set to sign RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai after agreeing personal terms, sources have told Football Insider.
The Merseysiders are putting the finishing touches to a deal for the 22-year-old following a breakthrough in talks.
It is believed Liverpool will pay Leipzig around £60million for Szoboszlai and they are planning to trigger his release clause on Friday (30th June).
Should a deal be completed, it would be a huge coup for the Merseysiders, given that the Hungary international has also been heavily tracked by Newcastle United.
His value has rocketed £40million in two years since he joined Leipzig from sister club RB Salzburg for £20million.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (27 June) that Newcastle made an approach to sign Szoboszlai.

But the attacking midfield ace has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and now looks set to join Alexis Mac Allister as a new arrival at Anfield.
Szoboszlai made 44 appearances for Leipzig last season, scoring 10 goals and supplying 14 assists to help his side to a third-place Bundesliga finish.
His contract at the German club was set to run until June 2026.
The Hungary international has already managed 62 goals and 67 assists across 216 total career appearances despite being just 22 years old.
Szoboszlai has won two DFB-Pokal trophies with Leipzig to add to a wealth of domestic honours lifted during his time at Salzburg.
Liverpool will be hoping to bounce back into top-four contention next term after a disappointing 2022-23 campaign which saw them finish fifth.
The arrivals of Szoboszlai and Mac Allister are part of a much-anticipated midfield rebuild that has already seen the likes of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave the club.
