Sources: Beale agrees eighth Rangers signing, Cyriel Dessers announcement imminent
Cyriel Dessers is expected to be announced as a new Rangers signing imminently, sources have told Football Insider.
Dessers will become the sixth arrival of the summer for the Gers and the eighth since Michael Beale took over last year.
But the Ibrox club giants be faced with several departures in the coming months as former boss Steven Gerrard has raided the club for Scott Wright and James Tavernier.
Ianis Hagi could also be on the way out and is attracting interest from Italian side Lecce, as revealed by Football Insider (4 July).
The Light Blues have already signed Norwich City’s Kieran Dowell, Crystal Palace keeper Jack Butland and Chelsea youth product Dujon Sterling on free transfers.
Sam Lammers joined from Italian side Atalanta for a fee of around £3million and Abdallah Sima joins on loan from Brighton for the 2023-24 campaign.

The Scottish giants have had a breakthrough in negotiations over a deal for Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes, as reported by Football Insider (12 June) and are set to sign him on a pre-contract agreement ahead of his current deal expiring in December.
Feyenoord striker Danilo and Hacken hitman Benie Traore are another two attacking players Beale has his eye on this summer.
Danilo is valued by the Dutch club at around £7m after the Gers saw a £3.5m opening bid rejected.
Traore would be an equally as expensive signing and the Swedish club are demanding £6m to let their star man depart.
