Aston Villa make move to sign Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto - sources
Everton and Aston Villa are interested in signing Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto, sources have told Football Insider.
Other Premier League sides are also keen on Gnonto’s services this summer.
The 19-year-old’s contract at Elland Road runs until 2027 after he joined from FC Zurich last year for a reported fee of just under £4million.
Both Villa and Everton have registered their interest in a potential deal for Gnonto amid new doubts over his Elland Road future.
On 24 April, Football Insider revealed that Leeds would be forced to sell the star winger if they were relegated to the Championship.
The Whites would demand a fee north of £40million to let him quit the club this summer.

Gnonto made 24 Premier League appearances in a campaign that saw Leeds finish 19th and lose their spot in the top flight.
The Italy international has been attracting clubs from his home country as well as top teams in England throughout an impressive debut campaign in the top flight.
Staff at the Yorkshire club have been blown away by Gnonto’s talent since he broke into the first team this season and has regularly been described as “phenomenal” by his coaches, as revealed by Football Insider back in February.
The attacker netted two goals and four assists from just 14 Premier League starts last term.
Both Everton and Aston Villa are looking for reinforcements to their attacking line.
The Toffees are in need of goals in the upcoming campaign after narrowly avoiding relegation last season whilst Unai Emery’s side are looking to push ahead in the league and Europe.
