Rangers expert delighted by Tom Lawrence after what he spotted
Tom Lawrence returning to Rangers action is a big boost to Michael Beale.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton said he is interested to see how Lawrence will fit back into the side given the attacking options Beale has already added.
The 29-year-old joined the Ibrox club last summer but made just nine appearances before being sidelined with an injury for the remainder of the campaign.
The winger returned to competition action in the Glasgow club’s pre-season friendly against Hamburg at the weekend.
Beale brought in Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin in January and has so far added Kieran Dowell, Abdallah Sima, Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers to his attacking options for next term.
The Gers are also closing in on the signing of striker Danilo and midfielder Jose Cifuentes.

When asked how big a boost having Lawrence back is, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think it is brilliant.
“We saw when he first signed what he was capable of and it was a real shame to lose him so early on with a serious injury. To see him back out on the pitch, we know what he can bring and it will be interesting to see how he fits in.
“They have got the likes of Cantwell and these guys, there is a lot of attacking threat within that team. I think Beale wanted options going forward so he was not just relying on the same players like he did last season.
“He now has all these different options so it is a good place for him to be in. It is looking good but it is just about how you fit all these guys into the starting XI and how they can make a difference.“
