Sources: Man United to sell Harry Maguire to highest bidder
Man United are ready to sell Harry Maguire to the highest bidder this summer with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation, sources have told Football Insider.
West Ham have made the first move for the 30-year-old and have seen a £20million bid rejected.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (31 July) that the Irons are considering making a second move – but are aware that a deal could be difficult to do with the centre-back on big wages and reluctant to leave Man United.
However, it is believed the Red Devils are ready to part with the England international and will accept an offer from the highest bidder in the final month of the window.
Tottenham, Everton and Chelsea have all been credited with a recent interest in the former Leicester star.
Maguire earns a £190,000-a-week wage at Old Trafford and was stripped of the captaincy earlier this summer after falling out of favour since Erik ten Hag’s arrival last year (2022).

West Ham boss David Moyes is desperate to add a centre-back to his squad in the final month of the summer window and Maguire would fit the profile the Scot is looking for.
But United are keen to land a bigger fee than £20million for a player they paid a reported £80million for in 2019.
Football Insider revealed last month (18 July) that Maguire could leave at a cut-price fee of around £35million – but the player wants his £10million-a-year contract paid up before agreeing an exit.
It is believed that Maguire is set for second-string status in the 2023-24 campaign if he stays at Old Trafford past the 1 September deadline.
He made 31 appearances across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign but started in just 16 of those outings.
