Demarai Gray is about to complete Everton move that's 'brilliant for everyone involved in the deal' - Agbonlahor

Everton will benefit from the sale of Demarai Gray before the end of the transfer window.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that it is a move that will benefit all parties involved.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday (2 August) that Gray has agreed personal terms with Fulham.

The former Leicester City star has less than 12 months remaining on his contract, and talks with the Merseysiders about a renewal are yet to progress.

Gray could now depart Goodison Park for a big profit just two years after arriving for a reported £1.7million from Bayer Leverkusen.

With a potential transfer on the cards, Agbonlahor believes that is a deal that both the club and player should look to push through with.

“It suits both the player and the club,” he told Football Insider.

“Gray is that player that some days you’re watching me like he’s got absolutely everything pace dribbling with the ball he could finish.

“He’s got an eye for goal, he’s technical, he’s quick, strong, but in some games you’re watching he does not perform consistently enough, but maybe he needs the right manager, and Marco Silva will get that out of him.

“I think it’s one of those signings that is brilliant for every party involved in the deal.

“You know, you’re not playing at Everton and the manager doesn’t rate you so go somewhere and get some money for Everton, and it suits you as well the Toffees.”
