Sources: Everton now set sights on Chalobah after deal agreed
Everton are among the sides plotting a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the 24-year-old’s Stamford Bridge exit will now be accelerated after Levi Colwill was tied down to a new deal and the arrival of Monaco star Axel Disasi was announced.
Everton are ready to pounce and secure a deal, while fellow Premier League sides West Ham and Crystal Palace are also poised to join the race for Chalobah’s signature.
The top-flight trio are also likely to face competition in Europe, where a number of top sides are ready to add the former England Under-21 international to their ranks.
Football Insider revealed last week (1 August) that Inter Milan remain extremely keen to sign Chalobah this summer after a year-long pursuit for his signature – during which the defender visited Milan.
His contract at Chelsea is set to expire in June 2028 after signing a huge extension in November 2022.

The Blues are now keen to sell the academy product – who wore the armband for Mauricio Pochettino’s side during their pre-season commitments in the United States.
Disasi and Colwill are set to join the complement of first-team centre-backs for the upcoming season with Wesley Fofana set for a long layoff with a serious knee injury.
Chalobah played 34 times across all competitions for Chelsea last term, starting in 26 of those outings.
He has turned out 63 times in total for the Blues after vital loan spells at Lorient, Ipswich and Huddersfield.
The 24-year-old also boasts impressive versatility having featured at centre-back, right-back and in defensive midfield to date.
