Pundit issues 'crazy' Weston McKennie verdict as Leeds United handed 'huge boost'
Leeds United may have pulled off the best signing of the January window by bringing Weston McKennie to the club.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Leeds United announced the arrival of McKennie on loan on Monday (30 January).
The Whites do have the option to buy the 24-year-old at the end of the season.
The midfielder has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham but a transfer never materialised.
Wenham is impressed Leeds managed to get a deal for McKennie over the line.

“I am surprised Tottenham didn’t send in a rival bid for McKennie, knowing how much of a fan of his Paratici is,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Levy must have locked him in the cupboard or something. The amount of times we have been linked with McKennie is crazy.
“He’s a good player and the midfield has been a bit of an issue for Leeds. They obviously lost Kalvin Phillips and he was the heart and soul of that team.
“McKennie comes in having played in the Champions League and having won things. A person like that is always a huge boost around the dressing room. It’s a great signing, one of the best of the window for sure.
“He already knows half the team as well because they all play for the United States. It was a bit of a surprise signing but I think they have done so well to get him.
“They have also signed Rutter on top of having a crop of really good young players coming through.
I think Leeds will get away from the relegation zone.”
