When asked if Klopp is in any sack danger, Whelan told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “No. There’s a real love affair with Klopp, Liverpool, and the fans.
“I can’t see how they get a better manager than him to fit the bill.
“This is just one of those frustrating seasons, but there are still loads of games to play.
“Liverpool have freshened up their team, and it needed to happen. I think they’ve bought really well.
“Gakpo, Carvalho, Nunez – they’re all young players who can improve.
“They’ve been unfortunate with Van Dijk and his injury – especially with how they’ve already looked uneasy at the back.
“I think it’s just been a frustrating start to the season – but I can’t see Klopp going anywhere. He’s still got a massive job.”
