Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Man City to launch a fresh move for Harry Kane in the summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after the latest update on Man City’s bid to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
The Athletic‘s David Ornstein reported on Monday (7 March) that it is now a straight shootout between City and Real Madrid and Haaland will make his decision within the next few weeks.
It is claimed the Premier League champions will move onto other targets if it drags on beyond the given timeframe.
Pep Guardiola revealed last month that City tabled four bids for Kane last summer before abandoning their pursuit.
Asked whether that could mean Kane becomes an option again nw, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think he will.

“The form that Harry Kane is in, I keep picturing him in that Man City side and they would be ridiculous with him.
“No team in the world could live with them if they added Harry Kane to their current side.
“He’s unbelievable at the moment, he’s showing that form again.
“If Haaland does go to Real Madrid then Man City will definitely want to bring in a striker.
“Pep’s said that he wants to bring in a striker so I can see a new bid.”
After a difficult start to the Premier League season, Kane now has nine goals in his last 12 top-flight games.
The England captain scored twice in a 5-0 win over Everton on Monday night to take his tally to 176 Premier League goals and leapfrog Thierry Henry to become the league’s sixth all-time top scorer.
