Man United news: Marcus Rashford is 'sulking' and will leave on 'cut-price' deal after Fabrizio Romano update - pundit

Marcus Rashford is “sulking” and Man United should let him go for a cut-price fee in the summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed a move away from Old Trafford would be the best solution for the club and player.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday (7 March) Rashford is considering his future and is concerned with his lack of playing time.

He was not named in the starting XI as Man United were smashed 4-1 by Man City on Sunday (6 March) despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani.

“I don’t think he should have started that game, to be honest,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“Based on his performances this season, I don’t think he did deserve to be starting that game. You don’t start games because of what you’ve done in the past.

“You start Premier League games and Champions League games on your form in the present and his form has been very, very inconsistent.

“He’s not put in a performance in a long time and I wouldn’t have started him either.

“What Rashford has got to do now is knuckle down and show that’s he’s actually interested in playing for Man United.

“He’s lost that hunger he had when he first burst onto the scene. He looks like a striker who is comfortable.

“A change would probably do good. His contract expires in 2023 so if he goes somewhere it will be a cut-price fee.

“It would be the best solution for the club and the player because he looks like an unhappy player, a player who is sulking whenever he’s on the pitch.”
