Aston Villa could land £60m transfer windfall after source's January reveal - pundit
Aston Villa could raise up to £60million from the sales of Bertrand Traore, Anwar El Ghazi and Trezeguet in January, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, expects new Villa boss Steven Gerrard “to move and shake” next year to put his stamp on the squad.
This site revealed on Monday (29 November) that the Midlands club are planning to offload two from Bertrand Traore, Anwar El Ghazi and Trezeguet in the winter window.
It comes after a Villa source told Football Insider (26 November) that Gerrard wants to add a centre-back and a centre-midfielder to his ranks.
El Ghazi, Traore and Trezeguet all all yet to start under Gerrard, although the latter two are currently sidelined due to injury.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the trio’s future, Campbell said: “Gerrard will want to move and shake a bit so he can shape his squad.

“He will have spoken to the players, watched them and will make a decision on them in the next month or so. A couple will move on I’m sure.
“If Villa can get £50-60million for those players I am sure he would be happy. That would give him the funds to start shaping that squad in his mould.”
Gerrard has enjoyed a strong start to life at Villa Park.
He has registered two wins and one loss from his first three games in charge.
