Declan Rice tipped to sign new West Ham contract amid '£100m' claim - pundit
Declan Rice is open to signing a new contract at West Ham.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 22-year-old’s recent comments about the club’s future.
Rice has so far refused to sign an extension at the London Stadium despite efforts from the club hierarchy.
His current contract expires in the summer of 2024.
Speaking to the Evening Standard (29 November), Rice revealed he hopes new investment at the club can help him realise his dream of playing Champions League football.
It comes after West Ham announced Czech investment group 1890s holdings has acquired 27 per cent of the club’s shares.

The deal sees the group’s chairman Daniel Kretinsky and his colleague Pavel Horsky join the Irons board.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Rice’s comments, Campbell said: “A new deal is not out of the question by the sounds of it.
“It’s all good talking about the Champions League but you need to achieve it. You can be close but close isn’t good enough. You need to achieve it.
“If West Ham can get into that top four perhaps he will stay.
“If I’m honest though, the way Rice is playing, I can see a £100million-plus offer arriving in the summer. I can see somebody pulling the trigger and trying to recruit him. He is that good.”
