Newcastle 'have not got a prayer' after 'devastating' Howe reveal - pundit
Newcastle United are in for a “tough game” when they travel to Burnley on Saturday (4 December), according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Newcastle’s hopes of staying up are slipping away after they were held to a 1-1 draw with Norwich City on Tuesday (30 November).
As quoted by Sky Sports’ Keith Downie after the game, Eddie Howe admitted his side were “devastated” not to get the three points.
The Magpies remain without a Premier League win this season after playing 14 games.
They are rock bottom of the table while Burnley sit in 18th-place, three points above them with a game in hand.
Newcastle will be without Ciaran Clark for the trip to Turf Moor after his red card against Norwich but Jamal Lascelles will return from his own suspension.

Asked for his preview of Newcastle’s trip to Burnley, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Norwich was a must-win for Newcastle United.
“If they can’t beat Norwich at home they have not got a prayer of staying up, let’s be honest.
“Burnley will be a tough game, let’s not be fooled. Burnley don’t just roll over, they’re always a tough game when they are at home.
“Norwich was a massive game. The quality they have compared to Norwich they should have won with home advantage.
“Newcastle are desperate for a win.”
If Newcastle fail to win in their next three Premier League games they will equal Sheffield United’s record for the longest wait for a win at the start of the season.
It took the Blades 17 games to earn three points at the beginning of last season.
In other news, Agbonlahor has swiped back at Newcastle United after their Twitter dig with a ‘whoop-de-do’ claim.
