Liverpool star Jordan Henderson to be axed after what pundit spotted - 'I didn't like it'
Kevin Campbell has claimed Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson will be axed for England’s Round of 16 clash against Senegal on Sunday (4 November).
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested Phil Foden, James Maddison, or Mason Mount could come in to provide more service for goalless striker Harry Kane.
Henderson was handed a start for England during their 3-0 defeat of Wales on Tuesday (29 November), replacing Mount in the lineup.
The midfielder played the full 90 minutes – just the fourth time he has gone the distance in the 2022-23 season amid a backdrop of injury concerns.
Henderson, who has amassed 72 England caps, is out of contract at Liverpool in June 2025.
Campbell backed Gareth Southgate to shuffle the pack in knockout action in order to create more for Harry Kane, who is yet to score in this World Cup.

He told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think he did fine against Wales.
“I truly believe it was the right decision to use the different players we have in the ranks against Wales.
“But against Senegal, in a knockout game, it might need Mount, Foden, or even Maddison in there.
“Someone who can do something a bit different.
“One thing I didn’t like is the lack of opportunities for Kane. We need to create more for him.
“If we’re going to do anything in this tournament, we need to get him started.
“I think the lineup for Senegal will be different. We’ve got to create something for Kane, and that’s no disrespect to Henderson.”
