Tottenham told to axe Harry Kane after what expert has just spotted - 'Conte has got to'
Kevin Campbell has urged Tottenham boss Antonio Conte to “rely” on Richarlison as he shines in a striker role for Brazil at the World Cup.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, backed the 25-year-old to “lead the line” for Spurs if Harry Kane needs a rest.
Richarlison scored a brace as Brazil beat Serbia in their opening game of the 2022 World Cup (24 November) – taking his tally to 19 in 40 Selecao caps.
However, he has scored just twice since joining Tottenham in July after struggling with injury and sitting behind the likes of Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski in the pecking order.
Speaking just before the mid-season World Cup break, Conte claimed Kane battled fatigue after starting each of Spurs’ 22 games this season.
Spurs sit fourth in the Premier League ahead of their return to action against Brentford on 26 December.

Campbell suggested Conte shouldn’t have anything to fear by resting Kane.
He told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “You don’t spend £60million on a Brazil international forward if you don’t trust him.
“He’s got an outstanding record for Brazil, and some of the goals we’ve seen him produce are just brilliant.
“He’s got arguably the goal of this World Cup so far.
“He can play across this front line – and I think he can lead the line for Spurs.
“Conte has got to know that he can rest Kane and rely on Richarlison. I really rate him.
“I think he’s a really good player and what he’s doing with Brazil doesn’t surprise me.”
