Expert verdict on 'gutted' Harry Kane submitting Tottenham transfer request
Kevin Campbell has insisted he can’t see Harry Kane pushing for an exit from Tottenham despite seeing another major trophy slip away with England.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted things could be “completely different” for the striker in the summer window if Spurs cannot win a major honour.
Kane, 29, has been widely linked with German giants Bayern Munich with his Tottenham contract set to expire in the summer of 2024.
The England captain experienced another heartbreak with the Three Lions after missing a crucial penalty in the World Cup quarter-final against France on Saturday (10 December).
He has already been runner-up in the European Championships with England – as well as in the Premier League, League Cup, and Champions League with Spurs.
Kane is yet to lift a major honour in his career despite notching 277 goals at club level.

Campbell told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think he’s in a good place at Tottenham right now.
“They’re in the top four, they’re challenging at the top of the table.
“I don’t see him pushing for anything now.
“But it’s completely different in that summer window. He’ll have one year left, and he’ll want to assess his options.
“That could be the moment he looks at things and has those tough discussions with Spurs – if they can’t win anything this season.
“But right now his only focus will be on scoring goals and winning games with Tottenham.
“Trophies are the next step for him and Conte – but both of them have only got a limited time left at the club.”
