Agbonlahor: It may only take a day for Salah and Mane to sign new Liverpool contracts after latest
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Liverpool should not be overly worried about Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah’s contract situations.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed “it takes a day” to sort a new contract.
Both players are out of contract at the end of next season.
Football Insider revealed (29 October) the club want Salah to sign a new deal before the January transfer window.
If a new contract cannot be agreed before then the hope of him committing his future to Anfield will begin to evaporate.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reported on his Here We Go Podcast last week (23 November) the Merseyside giants are set to initiate contact with Mane and his representatives over a new contract.

Asked whether the Reds should be worried about that the pair, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Not really.
“Both of those players love playing for Liverpool, they are icons for Liverpool at the moment.
“I’m sure if the money is right and if the length of the contract is right then they will stay. They deserve to get the contracts that they want because they are such important players for Liverpool.
“I’m sure Liverpool will want to get it done but 18 months is longer than you think. It takes a day to negotiate a contract so it’s nothing to worry about for Liverpool.”
Mane and Salah have scored a combined 26 goals across all competitions this season.
Salah moved to Anfield from Roma in the summer of 2017 while Mane signed from Southampton the year before.
