Harry Maguire will never play for Man United again - pundit
Harry Maguire will never play for Man United again as controversy continues to swirl around his career.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie suggested Maguire would be better off moving abroad this summer because he has no chance of breaking back into the United side.
The 30-year-old has made just one appearance for the Red Devils this term for 23 minutes of football.
Last season the centre-back made 31 appearances across all competitions and started just 11 of those outings.
Maguire has had his captaincy revoked by Erik ten Hag this term after falling down the pecking order following the Dutchman’s arrival.
McAvennie suggested Maguire should be looking to get out of Old Trafford in an attempt to find his form again.

“He has got to go through this rough spell,” he told Football Insider.
“He has got to grow up and take the positives with the negatives. He is not a bad player but he is not a good player for Man United and I do not think he will play for Man United again.
“I can’t understand why he did not want to leave. He could have gone abroad, got his confidence again but he has got to play.“
Despite his lack of game time in Manchester, Maguire has consistently been picked for Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
The defender was in the starting lineup for their Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine.
United face Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday (16 September) before travelling to Germany for the opening game of their Champions League group stage campaign.
