Leeds United are on the 'slide' and 'don't have the heart for the Championship' - pundit
Leeds United have let their fans down in the Championship this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie is worried Leeds are on a downward spiral this season.
The Whites have moved up to sixth in the Championship after eight games despite having a difficult start to the season.
Daniel Farke’s side have won 13 points from a possible 24 and have won three games so far this season.
Leeds were relegated from the Premier League last season after finishing 19th with 31 points from 38 games and spending three seasons in the top flight.
McAvennie insisted the Yorkshire club may have hit a bad spell at the right time.

“It is better hitting a rough patch earlier in the season,” he told Football Insider.
“I am going to be honest I think the Championship is harder than the Premier League. There are that many games and it is fast and furious, every game is a top game.
“It is a shame for Leeds because I thought they were there to stay in the Premier League and the fans loved it.
“I really do not know what is happening to them, I do not know where they are going, they seem to be on a slide again.
“They have still got decent players there, they have a good squad. I would have thought they would be one of the teams fighting to come back up but Leeds do not seem to be in the challenge, they do not seem to have the heart for the Championship.“
