Darwin Nunez: Liverpool player 'I noticed' is 'going to be a superstar'
Darwin Nunez will be a “superstar” for Liverpool this season if he can start finishing his chances.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie backed the Reds to create chances and score goals and is hopeful Nunez can find his form this year.
The 24-year-old made the switch to Anfield last summer from Benfica and made 42 appearances across all competitions, netting 25 goals in those outings.
This term, Nunez has scored four goals in eight appearances and just three starts.
As shown on Sky Sports (25 September), Nunez’s volley against West Ham marked their third goal and secured all three points for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
McAvennie insisted Nunez will find his best form this term as long as he keeps finding the back of the net.

“I think Liverpool could be strong again this season,” he told Football Insider.
“[Mohamed] Salah staying, Nunez, [Luis] Diaz, [Diogo] Jota, I think they have got goals.
“I noticed last year all the chances Nunez was getting, he was making great runs and if he can start putting them away he is going to be a superstar.
“You can see how much it means to him when he scores. I think they are going to be a force this season.“
Jota has scored three goals in seven appearances across all competitions this season whilst Salah has found the back of the net four times so far this term.
Luis Diaz has also netted three goals in seven outings this term following his return from a lengthy lay off with injury.
