Exclusive: Medical underway as Bristol City finalise new signing
Bristol City are today putting the finishing touches to the signing of Spanish striker Rodri, Football Insider can reveal.
The 29-year-old is undergoing a medical with the club this afternoon as he prepares to sign on a short-term deal.
A City source has told Football Insider that Rodri has agreed a contract that will run until the end of the season.
It will bring to an end the Championship club’s pursuit of a new centre-forward after loanee Benik Afobe suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Manager Lee Johnson has given the go-ahead for the capture of Rodri after short-term moves for Wilfried Bony and Gary Hooper failed to get off the ground.
The former Spain Under-21 international has an impressive CV that includes spells at Sevilla and Barcelona B.
