Sources: Tottenham set sights on signing Jota amid £200,000-a-week reveal
Tottenham could explore a potential move for Al-Ittihad outcast Jota in the January window, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs are weighing up making an attacking signing with Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic both out with long-term injuries.
Jota’s reported £25million move to Al-Ittihad has not worked out – with the Portuguese ace not even registered to play in the Saudi Pro League.
That is despite the forward only signing a three-year, £200,000-a-week deal in July.
He made five substitute appearances at the start of the Saudi Pro League season, grabbing one assist.
But the ex-Celtic star has since been removed from Al-Ittihad’s squad list and can now only feature in AFC Champions League and Club World Cup games.

Jota earned his big-money move after another stunning season with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
He notched 15 goals and 12 assists in 43 games across all competitions for the Hoops as they won a domestic treble.
Ange Postecoglou, now in the hot seat at Tottenham, brought Jota to Parkhead on an initial loan in 2021.
He was signed permanently from Benfica after managing 13 goals and 14 assists in another successful season for Celtic.
Jota can play on both flanks as well as in an attacking midfield berth.
Tottenham are one of only two sides yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season and sit second in the table behind Man City.
Postecoglou’s side are next in action against Luton Town on Saturday (7 October).
