Kieran Maguire: £150m double deal already agreed will 'fix' Man United problems
Man United can ‘fix’ their FFP problems with £150million earned from their double deal with Qualcomm and Adidas.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Red Devils will earn more from the two mega deals than many Premier League clubs will make from all revenue streams.
United signed deals with Adidas and Qualcomm this summer for a combined £150million per season.
Adidas will remain as the club’s kit provider after a 10-year deal worth £900million was signed between the two parties – a record in the Premier League.
Qualcomm are set to replace TeamViewer as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor from 2024/25 onwards after a £60million-a-year deal was signed earlier this month.
Maguire believes this double deal will help United set a benchmark to improve the value of all other partnerships and commercial agreements.

“Man United will make more money from the Qualcomm and Adidas deal than some Premier League clubs will make from all revenue streams combined,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“It is indicative of the size of their brand.
“It will certainly help the club fix their current Financial Fair Play situation.
“It will set a standard that Man United will be able to benchmark against for their minor deals.
“If others see that the senior commercial partners are willing to pay an extra 20 or 30 per cent, then that then becomes the expectation for the United commercial team when negotiating other arrangements and partnerships.“
